Speaker: Sharon Sutherland

Sharon Sutherland is Mediate BC’s Director of Strategic Innovation. Her history as a mediator, trainer and program designer in BC includes leadership roles with the Court Mediation Program, UBC Law’s Program on Dispute Resolution, and the Child Protection Mediation Practicum. 

Sharon is a Board member of CoRe Conflict Resolution Society, Past President of the Vancouver Fringe Festival Society, and a partner in Pig’n’Potato Games.

Sharon received an honorary doctorate from the Justice Institute of BC for contributions to conflict resolution through practice, advocacy, and training and mentoring of mediators. She received the 2011 Susanna Jani Prize for Excellence in Mediation.
